Olympic Peninsula – Hurricane Ridge, Forks, & Rialto Beach 8/23/09

For our Anniversary Tim and I headed out to the Olympic Peninsula. I had never spent much time out there, so it was a nice adventure and also a little getaway. We took the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry and from there hit Hurricane Ridge. Payton did great both on the ferry and during the car ride. Here is Payton on the ferry:

Payton saw his first bit of wildlife on this trip. We came across a bunch of deer. Here is our first sighting from the car heading up to Hurricane Ridge.

At Hurricane ridge, we took Payton on a few of their short trails.

After Hurricane Ridge, we moved on to Forks to check in to our hotel room. After checking in, we had time to hit the coast. Below are pics from Rialto Beach.

Here is a pic of Payton and I in Forks. Of course the town was all about the Twilight series.
