At 5:30am this morning Collin Jeffrey Hanks was born. 7lbs 5oz and 19.5 inches long. We went to the hospital last night because I felt my water was leaking. They did some tests, and low and behold my amniotic fluid was leaking, similar to what happened when I had Payton. It was a high leak so there was still lots of fluid protecting the baby. With any type of leak they admit you for risk of infection to the baby, so I was admitted around 9:00pm.
I was having contractions, so they let labor run it’s course instead of inducing with petocin. About 8 hours later, I started pushing and after about 20 minutes of hard pushing, Collin was born. :)
