Mother’s Day & Highest point in New Jersey 5/8/11

This morning Payton said “Happy Mommy’s Day” to me. It was really cute! Here’s a video of the moment.

Today we hiked up to the highest point in New Jersey. It is located in High Point State Park. The highest point is called High Point :) and at the top is an obelisk.  We hiked there by using the Monument Trail. It was about 3.5 miles, maybe more. What is sad is that, you don’t even need to hike to get to the highest point, you can easily just drive there if you wanted to. :p Here are pics from today.

Kite Day at Terhune Orchards 5/7/11

Today we took the kids to Terhune Orchards for Kite Day. Payton would rather play with rocks or bring dandelions to Mommy than pay attention to the kite, but it was still fun for us. :)

Collin’s 1st hike 5/1/11

Today we took Collin on his first hike. Payton also got the chance to hike on his own. We went to the Woodfield Reservation and hiked mostly along the South loop trail to Tent Rock. It was a pretty nice hike in the woods. Payton really liked it.
