Folklife Festival & More Tennis for Tim 5/25/09

On Monday, we headed to the Folklife Festival at the Seattle Center. It was another great day to be out and about. We got there right when it opened, so it wasn’t so crowded. It was also really cool to see my coworker Pat sing in her acapella group, Sankofa. Below are pics from the festival. There were lots of interesting musicians and acts all over the Seattle Center grounds.

 

Afterwards, we went back home for a little break and Tim and Kajon played some tennis at Inglemoor. Below are a few pics.

Dim Sum, Aquarium, & Pike Place 5/24/09

Sunday was another beautiful day. Tim had suggested getting Dim Sum for lunch since we have not had it in a long while. So we went to Chinatown to New Hong Kong Restaurant – it was previously New KowLoon. The Dim Sum was ok, not the greatest. Their shumai wasn’t as good as we’ve had before and their shrimp dumplings were so so. I think I’ll try another place next time.

Afterwards for dessert we got bubble tea at Gossip. Yum! Yes, two days in a row of bubble tea! Couldn’t help it. :) After the bubble tea, we hung out at the waterfront then went to the Aquarium. I had gotten two free tickets from work’s Admin Forum in April. I figure I’d use them before they expired.

It was really cool seeing divers feed the fish in the dome room.

After the aquarium, we walked to the Pike Place market and browsed around. We then sat at the park that was closeby. It was really nice to just be out on such a great day weatherwise. :)

Hanging out at the U 5/23/09

Today was a sunny start to Memorial Day weekend. Tim had to drop by the lab and afterwards we decided to just hang out and take pics on campus. We even walked along the Ave. and got some yummy bubble tea. :)

Ivars & Gasworks Park 5/17/09

On Sunday, we went to Ivars for brunch. The brunch was yummy, however due to so many people there at the same time, we had to wait in line longer than usual. Other than that, it was very filling. Here are pics out on their dock.

After brunch we decided to go to Gasworks park, to just hang out and take more pics. Below are some of them.
