More snow 12/21/08
More snow fell this weekend. Here are pics taken at my parent's place.
When we got home, we were hit with a not so pleasant surprise. A pipe in the garage burst and water was spewing out. Good thing the garage is slightly sloped, or we would have had a flooded garage. We were worried we would not have water for a while, but thankfully the plumber came the next day and fixed the broken pipe.

We finally got some ornaments for the tree. A thank you goes to Tim's mom. Also to my parents for providing the lights. :)

Sushi at Home
I had been craving sushi and figured it was cheaper to make it at home, so we bought ingredients to make California Rolls. Ingredients needed are sushi rice vinegar, Seaweed (Nori), imitation crab meat, and avocado. We bought the rice vinegar for sushi and the seaweed from Ranch 99. Both the crab meat and avocado were from Costco. Below are all ingredients except for the rice vinegar.
After cooking the rice, we let it cool and added the sushi rice vinegar. Below, Tim is mixing the rice and vinegar.
Next step is to add rice to the seaweed. Then to add the crabmeat and avocado.
Below is the finished product. :)

12/6/08 - 12/7/08 Tree hunting & Mom's cousin in town
On Saturday we (me, Tim, Jovanna, Angela, & John) went to North Bend in search of Christmas trees. I think it's a great deal. $10 for any tree 12 feet and under. All we had to do is cut it down ourselves and transport it back which wasn't a problem as we had Jovanna's big truck (thanks Jovanna!). I was pretty excited as I'd never had a live Christmas tree before. Below are pics of the experience. We were very lucky, it was a nice day weatherwise.
After tree hunting, Tim and I headed to Mom's where Mom's cousin from the Philippines was in town. We ended up watching the boxing match - De la Hoya Vs. Pacuiao. What a match. Pacuiao came out the winner and did awsome. He won by TKO.
Sunday, we had lunch at AAA buffet with the fam along with Auntie and Uncle from the Philippines.
Afterwards, Tim and I did some errands. We got around to putting the tree up. Here it is with lights. Not many ornaments yet. :p I've still got to work on that part. I'll post another pic once the tree is truly finished.
