Easter at Auntie Cel’s

With Mom and Dad in the Philippines, there was nothing planned this Easter. Luckily we were invited to Auntie Cel’s and thought it would be a fun trip, especially since Tim had never been there before.

It was a good time and there was lots of yummy food. :) Here are some pics I took on the Ferry ride heading towards Auntie Cel’s.

I thought this was funny because I turned our GPS on while we were on the boat and it had our car in the water. :p

Below are pics from the Party. Lots of yummy food.

My favorite was the lumpia. :)

Of course there was an Easter Egg Hunt. Janelle had filled around 700 plastic eggs. They had two egg hunts, one for the kids 5 and under, another for the kids older than 5. There were lots of happy kids. :)

Lucky at REI 4/11/09

DSC_0001 Above is my new beanie. Tim and I decided to do some errands on Saturday and one of the places we went to was REI. Turns out they were having a drawing, and I actually won some stuff. I won the hat, a bottle opener thing, some lube for tires, and gloves. :) Tim won some new fenders, which is funny because he doesn’t even have a bike at the moment. :p

Sunny Sunday

The weather was even nicer today so Tim and I headed to St. Edwards park for a nice walk and again to take more pictures.

Today we also celebrated Kajon’s bday at their place. Below are some pics. It was nice because Kabon gave me a few pointers on how to use my camera. I have a lot to learn.

Spring finally here 4/4/09

Spring finally arrived in Seattle. This was the first sunny Saturday we have had in a long while. It was actually warm enough to go out without a coat. :) Taking advantage of the good weather I wanted to fool around with my new camera, so we set out to go to the arboretum close to the University of Washington. While waiting for Tim at the lab, I took a short walk and took a few shots.

More Birthday Celebrations

On my actual birthday, I got these wonderful flowers from Tim. :)

IMG_9466 And for dinner we went to one of my favorite restaurants. :p

rr A few days later, my coworkers surprised me with a little celebration. They got me a balloon and we all had some cake. it was really nice of them.

DSC_0004 cake On Friday night, had dinner with my “special” friends at Lombardi’s in Ballard. I had never been there, but it was good Italian food. Below is a pic of us at Jovanna’s afterwards. This week we received great news that we got into the San Francisco Nike 1/2 marathon in October. I really couldn’t believe we got in, since this is my 3rd year trying to get an entry for the run. I was shocked when I found out because I really didn’t think we would get in. It’s really cool though. Anyway, here we are at jovanna’s planning for the trip.

Vegfest & March Madness 3/21/09

Yesterday, Tim and I volunteered at Vegfest at the Seattle Center Exhibition Hall. I had heard about it from a coworker and I thought it would be a fun event to volunteer at. It turned out pretty nicely in that we volunteered for a shift from 10am-2pm and since Tim wanted to watch the Husky vs. Purdue game, we went straight to Sport Restaurant & Bar in Fischer Plaza across from the Seattle Center. Vegfest itself was pretty fun. During breaks, we got to try out all the food. My favorites were the tofu (flavored) and donuts from Mighty-O’s
